What this is
Houston Venue Guide is a small, independent publication about choosing event venues in the Houston area. It exists because most venue writing online is produced by venues, and reads accordingly.
How it is written
Everything here is written from research and from the general practice of the events industry. We publish structure, seasons, questions and cost mechanics.
We deliberately do not publish venue listings with capacities and prices. Those numbers change constantly, and a directory that is wrong is worse than no directory at all. Where we mention a venue, we link to its own site so you can read the current position from the source.
Independence
We are not affiliated with any venue, we take no commission on bookings, and no venue pays to appear here. If that changes, it will be stated on this page before anything else changes.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we would rather know. Corrections are made in place and noted.
